Irresponsible Bully Breeders

Breeders who breed Bullies without registration papers are not ethical or responsible. This practice increases the number of dogs in shelters. Such breeders are known as backyard breeders (BYBs). They breed for profit, not to improve the breed. BYBs may offer health guarantees, but they rarely honor them. Their main focus is making money, not ensuring the health and well-being of the puppies or the satisfaction of their customers.

American Bully Puppies Under Pet Contracts

Breeders who sell Pitbulls or American Bullies at a discount without requiring spay or neuter are doing so for profit. This practice is irresponsible and unethical. Puppies for pet homes should be sold with a spay/neuter contract or already sterilized. This is a gimmick by backyard breeders (BYBs) to quickly sell puppies at a lower price to move puppies. This certainly increases the shelter population for Pitbulls and American Bullies.

American Bully and Pit Bull Breed Type

American Bully breeders and Pitbull breeders who have adult dogs that do not follow the breed standards implemented by UKC and ABKC are irresponsible and unethical. Additionally, Pitbulls and American Bullies are two separate breeds that should not be bred together. Doing so produces a litter mixed breed puppies. BYBs who regularly do this also use the gimmick of pet home puppies because the litter cannot be registered. However, back yard breeders will still market the litter as purebred Bullies or purebred Pitbulls in order to sell mutts to unsuspecting puppy buyers.
